We’re an Active and Engaged Life Plan Community
The face of retirement is evolving, and we aim to keep ahead of its changing landscape. One change we’ve recently made is adopting the new category name, “Life Plan Community,” an industry replacement for “Continuing Care Retirement Community,” or CCRC senior living.
This updated terminology shifts the emphasis from passive care to active living. It better reflects our residents’ views, who plan for and look forward to, the services that Homestead Village provides. Life Plan Community isn’t just a new label for an older model of senior care. It’s an entirely new perspective.
Our residents are active, socially responsible, care about giving back to the world around them, and are lifetime learners who crave enrichment opportunities. We enthusiastically encourage all of these traits because we believe that a resident’s life in retirement should be fun and exciting. At the Homestead Village Life Plan Community, that’s just what we strive to make it—no matter what continuum of senior care is needed.

Building A Compassionate Community
At Homestead Village, we’ve come to embrace the words “life” and “community” from our new label. They better represent all the different ways we interact with the greater Lancaster community. Whether it’s hosting events on campus or the many forms of volunteerism that our residents participate in—we’re not a closed-off community—we’re active participants living in a much larger world.
We’re proud to be helpful, good neighbors setting a positive example in our community. It’s inspiring, not just for Homestead Village or our residents, but for the broader community with which we interact.
