Where Only Excellent Is Good Enough
Dine your way, every day, at the Plow and Pineapple, our casual and formal dining establishment. Each day begins with our outstanding breakfast offerings. Seat yourself, and our friendly servers will take your order and bring you one of our many made-to-order breakfast offerings.
Our lunchtime experience features wonderful choices of chef-prepared specials, made-to-order deli sandwiches, hot entrées, and a fantastic salad bar, with a focus on fresh vegetables and fruit. Of special note is the chef’s action station, which features a different entrée every day. You choose the ingredients, and our staff prepares it before your eyes.
For dinner, the dining room transitions to seated, waited service with table linens to make your evening meal gracious and relaxed. On Sundays, brunch is a special affair, with all you can eat or à la carte choices and stations for waffles, omelets, and other specialties.
Our goal is to provide the highest-quality dining of any senior living community in Pennsylvania. All residents participate in a flexible dining program, and special dietary needs are carefully accommodated. Residents can also host events in their own homes or in the new Bachman Center and leave the serving, cooking, and cleanup to our Dining Services team.
The Origins of the Plow and Pineapple Name
The plow represents groundbreaking and became our first logo in honor of the Church of the Apostles’ role in the startup of Homestead Village. The pineapple, incorporated into our current logo, is a symbol of welcome and represents the bounty of our dining room.
