LANCASTER, PA – Homestead Village Enhanced Senior Living Community, a 501 c3 non-profit organization, is proud to announce the following new members of the board of directors. The governing board of Homestead Village is made up of fifteen volunteers from the Lancaster community with expertise in finance, public relations, medical fields, housing, engineering, law and other areas beneficial to the operations of Homestead Village. Currently, four (4) Homestead Village residents actively serve on the board of directors – this distinction sets Homestead Village apart from many other similar types of organizations.
Grace Ajemba
Grace is a nurse for Community Hospice. She formerly worked at Homestead Village as an LPN for many years. Ms. Ajemba has a remarkable story, emigrating to the United States where she continued her education. She is married and is the mother of two sons. She will bring the unique attributes of both being a health care professional and the first board member who is a former employee of Homestead Village.
Joan H. Boben, RN
Joan is a graduate of The Lankenau Hospital School of Nursing. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Joseph’s College and her Master of Science from Penn State University. Mrs. Boben worked as an RN at Lancaster General Hospital from 1967 to 1992. She is married to William R.A. Boben, MD and has two children and four grandchildren. She welcomes the honor to serve on The Homestead Village Board of Trustees for the second time.
