During the week of May 2nd, Homestead Village held its fifth at the Schreiber Pediatric Rehabilitation Center. Costume Jewelry, donated by dozens of interested families was displayed on balloon decorated tables at the Schreiber Center. Schreiber children of all ages were invited to choose among hundreds of glittering necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and pins for a surprise Mother’s Day gift for their mother or caregiver of choice. Each gift was wrapped in tissue paper and placed in a colorful gift bag with a gift card. There were smiles and thankyou’s from the children and just as many smiles on the faces of the adults. Many thanks to the committee; John Hatch Barbara Butzer, Marti Sheets, Nancy Hungerford, Ethyl Mae Heidig, and Donna Bourke.
