Pictured below, HV Resident, Ron C. and his daughter Suzanne L., are joined by Schreiber Board Vice Chair Chris Flynn (who’s holding photos of Ron’s late wife, Marlene) in the newly refreshed Occupational Therapy Suite at Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development. Ron, Marlene and his family supported Schreiber’s recent Where HEROES Are Made Capital campaign. This campaign helped to fund the construction of their new expanded facilities, pictured below.
For their gift, the family chose to name the Occupational Therapy Suite. Ron now also volunteers at Schreiber where he is now fondly referred to by the children as “the sticker man!”
HV Residents also volunteer annually for the Schreiber Jewelry Party where donated costume jewelry is collected and children who attend Schreiber are able to pick out a gift for their mother or caregiver for Mother’s Day. Each year, this event continues to bring great joy to the children and their families.
Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development serves more than 4,000 children every year. They provide outpatient and in-home pediatric therapy services, including occupational, physical, speech-language and behavioral therapy, for children birth to age 21. They also offer high-quality early education preschool and child care services, recreation programs and summer camps.
As “Community Way Partners” Homestead Village and its residents have had a long-standing friendship and partnership with Schreiber.
