Volunteers play an important role in enhancing and enriching life at the leading Life Plan community in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Our nonprofit senior living community volunteers give their time to support residential living through the Homestead Village Auxiliary or serving in the Village Corner Shoppe. There are also opportunities to serve in the skilled nursing care activities programs in the Apostles Center for Care, and the personal care program in the apartments. One-on-one time with a friendly visitor, a wheelchair escort through the grounds on a pleasant day, assistance with a Bingo game, or time spent reading the newspapers—all of these things add up to make the life of a resident more enjoyable.
Residents themselves also volunteer on campus through opportunities such as the Homestead Village Residents’ Council, working together to run the resident library, support the activities program, and participate in other ongoing programs that enhance life for all residents.
Volunteers receive orientation and training specific to their assignments, continuing education, where applicable, and acknowledgment at an annual recognition event.
Volunteers are valued and welcomed at our nonprofit Life Plan Community. To learn more about volunteer opportunities at our Lancaster, Pennsylvania, location, complete and submit the form below.
